The wine is aged for 14 months in 225-liter oak barrels used. Lastly, it was unfiltered.

Total acidity: 5.68 (tartaric) g / l

POTENTIAL OF AGING: 10 years

IDEAL TEMPERATURE TO SERVE: 16-18ºC

Authors' comments: In this red the acidity was not corrected and sulphites were not used. The harvest was climatically favorable and the grapes were able to reach the point of maturity we were looking for.

Tasting Notes: The herbaceous, floral notes, the red fruits and the minerality of the limestone colluvial stone of Altamira, provided us the wine with greater balance of the line. Silky and compact, ground reflection. It has a fresh and colorful passage in the mouth. Austerity and longevity.

“The 2015 Calcáreo Coluvio de Altamira is sourced from a one-hectare plot on colluvial soils that, as all of them, has limestone as a main component. The nose is a little closed--this is the one that had a longer fermentation and malolactic was in barrel. It has a mix of violets and wild herbs, with a soft, elegant profile, also seen in the texture, quite round, like the stones you see in the place. It has good volume but keeps the freshness and tension. Some 4,000 bottles were filled in August 2016.."

Score: 93 points, erobertparker.com .
