PETIT MANSENG THE GOLDEN TREASURE OF TERRACES OF THE ANDES
 News
The Single Vineyard Petit Manseng is one of the best kept secrets in Terrazas de los Andes. Petit Manseng is a variety from the south of France, very old and mysterious, almost unknown in our country. Terrazas de los Andes is the only winery in Argentina that cultivates this elegant French variety that results in an exceptional late wine, with an intense yellow color with golden sparkles that stands out for its sweet entry on the palate, complexity on the nose and balance between sucrosity and acidity.

Petit Manseng is a variety from the pre-Pyrenees region of southwestern France, very traditional and renowned for producing liqueur wines with natural sugar from a very late harvest, after the first autumn frost. It is highly recognized among hobbyists for its intensity of taste and flavor and its natural freshness even when harvested over-ripe.

The variety was brought to our country especially by Terrazas de los Andes, a member of the world's leading luxury group LVMH (Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton), for the production of this wine.

It is a Single Vineyard since all the grapes used for its production come from the "El Yaima" estate, located in Eugenio Bustos in the Valle de Uco area at 1000 meters above sea level. They are 10 hectares of free-standing vineyards implanted in 1999 and with a density of 5,500 plants per hectare. In the Mapuche language, "Yaima" means "The Great Canal", due to the numerous irrigation canals that bring water from the mountains to the vineyards. Its grapes are harvested late in May.

Terrazas de los Andes produces this wine which, like all Single Vineyards, is produced in very small quantities. They are rooted in a truly genuine style: elegance, concentration and great intensity, with ripe, aromatic, rich and persistent fruit.

In its 375 ml bottle it is a wine that transmits elegance. It pairs perfectly with mature cheeses with intense flavors and is the perfect end to a dinner: ideal with citrus and fruit desserts.
