Finca Los Alamos, High Uco Valley

Mendoza, Argentina 

• SOIL:

Rocky Sandy loam, with médium to low fertility and low organic material content.

• CLIMATE:

Harsh winters and hot summers with temperate or hot days and very cold nights. The daily temperature range is about 15º C during the growing development stage, favoring a very good production of color and tannins.

• HARVEST

Grapes were hand-picked and placed in 18-kilo (40 pound) boxes on April 23st

• PRODUCTION

100% of the wine was aged in new French oak barrels for 19 months. Bottled on September 29th 2011, and stored in the bottle for 12 months at 12ºC before being released to the market.

Aging: 10 years

• TASTING NOTES

View: Dark purplish red.

Aromas: Aromas of snuff and cinnamon, with notes of candied red fruit

Taste: Velvety, with spicy, dried fruit and long finish.
