Achaval Ferrer has a single passion: to craft world-class Argentine wines that express their terroir. Known as an interpreter of terroir, Achaval Ferrer produces Malbec from its centenary vineyards planted in 1910, 1921, 1923, and 1950. Located in Mendoza’s most renowned regions, Luján de Cuyo, Eastern Mendoza, and the Uco Valley, these vineyards represent the province’s rich winemaking heritage and the diversity of each area.

Planted in 1923, Finca Nazarenas is located in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, on an alluvial cone. Its deep clay soils, extending beyond 1.5 meters, give this vineyard a unique character that defines its centenary Malbec. Cool nights, driven by the region’s significant diurnal range, allow the vineyard to rest, resulting in a fruit expression with excellent balance between ripeness and natural freshness.

Reviews
“This is the newest addition to the Fincas line, from a vineyard acquired by Achával in 2019. A more than 100-year-old vineyard located on the traditional Cobos road, planted on alluvial soils rich in stones and sand. It produces expressive and generous wines, yet with firm textures and sharp tannins that balance the natural sweetness of Malbec. In this case, there are also subtle herbal notes that add complexity and freshness. An excellent addition to this classic range, introducing a new wine after 20 years since its creation.”
